WHERE TO STAY:

When I think of my #1 happy place, it will always be sitting in our tree house perched up above the rainforest at Keemala Resort & Spa in Phuket. I will never be able to put into words how amazing our experience was at Keemala and highly recommend anyone that is visiting Phuket to consider staying here as well. Although, it is a bit secluded from the rest of the city, you have everything you need right on site: restaurants, yoga classes, private pool, spa/massage services, and a meditation retreat.

Because we did not leave the grounds much during our stay, my recommendations on what to see and where to eat in Phuket are a bit limited but I have a few things to mention below:

WHAT TO DO AND SEE:

1. An island boat tour is a must! Be sure to book in advance as they fill up quickly (points of interest being Phang Nga Bay, James Bond Island, and Monkey Cliff- you MUST go see the monkeys)!!

2.  There are many yoga classes and retreats available in Phuket. What’s more relaxing than some yoga on the beach?!

3. Take a cooking class. Phuket Thai Cooking (link below) has some great reviews.

4. Horse back riding on the beach
