WHERE TO STAY:

During our visit to Chiang Mai we stayed at the Bodhi Serene Hotel. The staff was very attentive in helping us book our tours and arrange our travel to and from the hotel. The hotel was very clean, relaxing, and had a rooftop pool along with a bar area for lounging poolside. It was also conveniently located near top attractions, restaurants, and bars. I would highly recommend Bodhi Serene Hotel during your stay in Chiang Mai!

WHAT TO DO AND SEE:

Let me start off by saying that if you come to Chiang Mai and do not visit the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and take a cooking class at Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School, you are absolutely missing out on some of the best experiences in this city.

1.  Elephant Jungle Sanctuary (The money raised from visits and donations helps to save the elephants. During your stay you get to feed, bathe, and play with the elephants- NO RIDING!! Book the full-day tour..it is worth every penny!)

2.  Chiang Mai Thai Cookery Class (The food is absolutely incredible and the staff are warm, welcoming, and hilarious. You start out in the local market to gather the ingredients and then head out to the cookery school to get started. Each student gets to take a cooking book home that includes all of the recipes made that day- HIGHLY RECOMMEND!)
