WHERE TO STAY:

London is a city with several diverse neighborhoods- each one giving you a unique taste of British culture. During our time in London, we stayed in an apartment in Shoreditch. While there is definitely many things to love about this neighborhood, I believe Islington and Covent Garden were two of my favorite areas in the city.  For those visiting, I would recommend looking for bnbs/hotels in one of these two areas. That being said, with so much to do around every corner, you really cannot go wrong no matter where you decide to drop your bags!

WHAT TO SEE AND DO:

1. Satisfy your appetite at Camden Market (some of the best market food I have ever had)!

2. Explore Covent Garden  (London’s theater and entertainment center filled with many shops, cafes, and lovely decorated streets along the way)

3. Stroll around Big Ben & London Eye

4. Take a walk to the London Bridge

5. Make a stop at Kensington Palace

6 .Visit Buckingham Palace

7. Tour the Columbia Flower Market

8. Go explore the charming Notting Hill neighborhood

WHERE TO EAT:

1. La Farola- (Islington)- Spanish restaurant and tapas bar.

2. Dishoom (multiple locations)- Indian restaurant serving amazing food and cocktails in a fun setting.

3. Cora Pearl- (Covent Garden)- Modern British restaurant in a historic townhouse serving comfort food and uniquely crafted cocktails.

4. Lina Stores- (Soho) – Family run Italian deli serving homemade pasta, meats, and cheese- great spot for lunch!

5. Brawn- (Shoreditch)- Mediterranean small plates served in a stylish two room setting.

6. The Clove Club –(Shoreditch)- High end British restaurant serving dishes with often overlooked ingredients.

7. Esters (Stoke Newington)- Small and cozy cafe – great spot for brunch!

WHERE TO DRINK:

1. Super Lyan- (very small, great cocktails)

2. Dandelyan- (same owner as super Lyan, much larger and still great cocktails)

3. Blues Kitchen- (live music/fun atmosphere)

4. Aviary- (great rooftop and terrace bar located on the 10th floor of the Montcalm Royal London House Hotel).

5. Mr. Fogg’s- (a collection of adventurous bars in several different locations. Each one with a goal of taking you back to the Victorian era).
